Craigie crash causes congestion on freeway for commuters

NORTH of the river commuters may delay this morning following a crash on the Mitchell Freeway this morning.

The crash occurred around 6.45am on the freeway close to Whitfords Avenue in Craigie.

The left lane and left emergency lane are currently blocked, which has caused heavy congestion and delays.

Adding to the congestion is damaged road surface on the freeway after Ocean Reef Road in Woodvale, not too far from the scene of the crash, which has restricted the speed limit to 60kmh in the area.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended the scene.
