UPDATE: A breakdown southbound on the Mitchell Freeway near Hutton St this morning has been cleared, but there is still heavy congestion near Joondalup.
Multiple cars were involved in a crash between Hodges Drive and Ocean Reef Road in Joondalup this morning.
The right and left emergency lanes are currently blocked and the resultant heavy congestion is expected to cause delays.

Main Roads advised drivers to exercise extreme caution when approaching Hutton St from the north, but they have since cleared the hazard.
