Program manager Skye Stevens is gearing up for the Family Fun Day at Creative Arts by Rise.

CREATIVE Arts by Rise will open its doors on Saturday, August 12 for a day of festivities.

The free Family Fun Day will run from 10am to 2pm and is an opportunity to show the public what the Warwick centre is about.

“Creative Arts by Rise provides a safe and supportive environment for people to get creative,” program manager Skye Stevens said.

“We run painting, craft, woodwork and pottery activities at our centre.

“During the Family Fun Day we will be celebrating our people and showcasing the work of our talented members.

“We will also be raising a little money through the proceeds from selling our new calendar.”

Activities will include craft, face painting, pottery and wood burning demonstrations and a gold coin donation sausage sizzle.

The event will also support Shelter WA as part of Homelessness Week.

The Rise Network works with people with a disability, youth at risk, people with a mental health issue, carers and older people in the community.
