Cyclist dies after crash with car in Burns Beach

A MULLALOO man (69) has died in hospital following a crash involving his bicycle and a car in Burns Beach.

Major Crash officers are investigating the fatal crash which occurred in Burns Beach on Sunday morning.

“About 10.10am a purple colour Mitsubishi sedan and a bicycle collided on Marmion Avenue near Grand Ocean Entrance,” WA Police State Control Centre acting Inspector Andrew Maher said.

“The 69-year-old male rider from Mullaloo suffered life threatening injuries. He was conveyed by ambulance to hospital but later died.

“The female driver of the vehicle was not injured.

“Major Crash Investigators are seeking witnesses who may have seen either vehicle or the crash to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au .”
