Caitlin (10) has been dancing for sevens years and after spending many afternoons watching his sister practise, Isaac (9) decided to follow three years ago.

They are the only dancers from their school Turning Pointe Performance Academy in Wangara attending the Get the Beat competition this week.

Their mother, Sandra Tarr, said they spent about 15 hours a week training in their speciality of acrobatics.

“They both love what they do. I’m hoping they just go and enjoy the experience,” she said.

They both excelled during qualifications in Perth in March so will also compete in the Champion of Champions category.

“I’m very excited, but a bit nervous,” Isaac said. “I haven’t competed in another state before.”

Caitlin said she was looking forward to the new experience.

“I just want to have some fun.”

Ms Tarr said her children had fundraised $385 and she was using money given to her for her birthday for the trip.

“They have never been in a national competition before and it’s not all the time that the two of them will have the same opportunity together,” she said.
