Detectives charge 23yo man over three armed robberies

DETECTIVES have charged a 23-year-old man in relation to a series of armed robberies in Duncraig and Woodlands.

Regional Investigations Unit Detectives have charged a man of no fixed address as a result of their investigation into three armed robberies in January and February.

According to police, the first robbery occurred on January 21 at a supermarket on Arnisdale Road in Duncraig where the man was allegedly armed with a knife.

The second incident was on January 28 at the same supermarket and police allege the man was armed with a screwdriver.

In the third robbery on February 8 at a supermarket on Birchwood Avenue in Woodlands, police allege the man was armed with a knife.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today charged with three counts of armed robbery and one count each of possessing a prohibited drug, possessing drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct in a police station.
