A LITTLE piece of Hollywood came to Perth recently when Olivia Patmore modelled a gown at the Colosoul Ball.
The 17-year-old, who was crowned Miss Teen Galaxy Australia last year, wore a Dior couture gown worn by Nicole Kidman at the 2011 Oscars.
Valued at more than $27,000, the dress was auctioned and sold for $5000 at the Colosoul Group charity ball held at the Perth Town Hall last Saturday.
The dress is in ‘as new’ condition and comes with the original sales receipt and a certificate of authenticity.
Olivia said she felt privileged to have modelled a dress that had been worn by actress Nicole Kidman. “I absolutely love the intricate detail on the front of the dress; the beading is just gorgeous,” she said.
“It is very easy to see that a lot of hard work and dedication has gone into creating something so beautiful.”
Olivia said she was very happy to be helping “such an amazing cause”.
Colosoul Group is a not-for-profit youth volunteer organisation that supports young Australians aged 13 to 25.
The ball is designed to raise awareness about its youth mentorship program, which has helped thousands of youths gain hands-on experience in the media and arts industry. Founder and chief executive Tricia Ray said she was “deeply grateful to John-Alex, of Reworked man woman, for his extraordinary generosity in donating the dress”.
