Driver on drug charges after Australia Day stop

Police allege the Wanneroo man was travelling at 99km/h in an 80km/h zone while travelling on Marmion Avenue in Mullaloo on January 26.

Officers discovered the 31-year-old driver did not have a licence and was driving an unregistered vehicle.

They allegedly found 7.2g of methamphetamine after searching the car.

Police also allege he was in possession of a small amount of cannabis.

He was charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell or supply, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis.
