POLICE have charged a man who allegedly struck his father in the face while breaching a police order at an Edgewater home this month.
Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Fairlie said the 34-year-old man had been served a police order on May 12 not to go to the Edgewater Drive residence.
But on May 15, the victim and the accused’s 32-year-old brother arrived home to find the man inside the house.
Acting Sen-Sgt Fairlie alleged the person of interest assaulted his father, aged in his 60s, causing a cut above the eye and bruising.
Police charged the man with burglary, assault occasioning bodily harm and breaching a police order.
