A WOMAN was allegedly nearly four times the blood alcohol limit while driving a car with a tyre worn down to its rim in Edgewater yesterday.
The 42-year-old woman’s two-year-old daughter was in the car at the time.
Police also charged the motorist with driving without a licence.
A police spokesman said an off-duty officer stopped the Holden sedan about 3.50pm on Joondalup Drive after noticing it was travelling on one of its rims.
“After speaking to her, he ascertained that she was (allegedly) under the influence of alcohol and also noticed that she had her two-year-old daughter in the car at the time,” he said.
The woman allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.190.
