Stand Up! will be held at ECU Joondalup and feature Broadway actress, singer and playwright Wambui Bahati performing her one-woman play I am Domestic Violence.

White Ribbon ambassador Andre De Barr will officially open proceedings and a panel of experts including representatives of the WA Police North West Metropolitan Victim Support Unit, Women’s Health and Family Services and the Patricia Giles Centre will discuss various issues associated with domestic and family violence.

“Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of those affected by domestic and family violence are women and children,” Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said.
