THERE have been some positive signs this season, but there is not a lot to like at the minute.
Every match we face presents a solid challenge and it doesn’t get any easier against East Perth this weekend, especially if they have Mark Hutchings and Sharrod Wellingham available to them.
Our side is far from full strength because of injury at the moment and I don’t expect it to be any better this week.
They will be a formidable opponent and while we need to pay respect to them, we’ve also got to spend time concentrating on ourselves and what we’re doing wrong.
We’re making errors at crucial times of the game.
Then when we have a good run of play, we’re not capitalising on the scoreboard.
We kicked seven goals through the second and third quarters against the Sharks but it felt like we could have kicked nine or 10.
The way we started and finished the game was very disappointing in the 50-point loss.
The middle section of the match was good but we missed some opportunities late in the third quarter that could have had us well in the contest at three-quarter time.
We then allowed them to kick the first two goals of the last quarter, which put a dent in our spirit and had them run away with a comfortable win.
