PROFESSIONAL and amateur artists will come together for an exhibition at St Mary Magdalene Anglican Church in Heathridge.

Pastel Society of WA president and exhibition curator Val Brooks said the long-standing annual exhibition was “an idea to involve the wider community in the activities of the church” as well as a fundraiser for the church.

She said this year’s artists included members of the Pastel Society of WA, the Wanneroo Joondalup Art Society and other local groups.

“We usually have entries from about 40 artists each year who contribute approximately 100 artworks to be exhibited,” she said.

“Works are all two-dimensional and are of a variety of media.”

The exhibition will open from 7pm on Thursday, April 5 with the church’s Ladies Friendship Group providing refreshments.

It will then be open from 10am to 4pm April 6 and 7 and 11am to 4pm on April 8.
