Expensive taste for liquor thief

NEW Year’s Eve plans took a twist for a man who stole two bottles of Moet champagne from a Kinross liquor store.

Police alleged about 3.50pm on December 31, the man entered the store on Selkirk Drive, approached a display of Moet champagne and grabbed two bottles then walked out without paying.

However, a staff member approached him outside the store and was able to get the two bottles back.

The same man is believed to have been involved in another stealing on Boxing Day where again, two bottles of Moet champagne were taken from a display.

Staff were able to get one bottle back but he left still in possession of the other bottle.

He is described as being about 18 years old with light skin and a thin build.

He was wearing a baseball cap, a white polo shirt with blue and red on it and long dark pants and was carrying a small bag under his left arm.

People can remain anonymous and rewards are available once charges are laid.
