CURRAMBINE Primary School will hold a donut poll on Saturday to gauge which party will win the Federal Election.

The school’s LADDs (Loving and Devoted Dads) group is holding an election day sausage sizzle and donut sale to raise funds for its activities to get fathers more involved with their children.

Secretary Robert Wilson said they would sell red and blue donuts between 9am and 3pm on May 18.

“We believe the outcome of the election is going to be based on which ones sell out first,” he said.

Chairman Rob Williams said the group would hold a ‘dads only’ poker night for fathers to talk without their children, as well as the annual school camp out on the school grounds in third term.

“We also have a bike ride around Lake Joondalup later in the year,” he said.

The group stemmed from The Fathering Project, and Mr Williams said they also planned to raise funds through a Bunnings sausage sizzle and fathers would take a turn helping in the school canteen.
