WARWICK students are encouraging hungry Cowan voters to head to their Hawker Park Primary School polling booth this Saturday.

P&C Association president Emma Claessen said there would be something for everyone at their food stalls, including a sausage sizzle, egg and bacon rolls, home-made cakes and slices, and coffee, tea and hot chocolate with marshmallows.

“The ‘democracy sausage’ has become something of an Australian tradition and one of our school’s biggest fundraisers,” she said.

“We will also provide alternatives such as soy and almond milk, vegetarian sausages, gluten-free bread and herbal teas.”

The barbecue and cake stall will open from 8am to 3pm, with prices to range from a gold coin donation to $3.

Funds raised will go to a nature learning space including river beds, cubby houses and a mud kitchen.
