Federal funds for community groups

WEST Perth Football Club will receive $40,000 in Federal funding to buy and install gym equipment and a mini bus to transport players to community engagements.

The funding is part of the second round of the Stronger Communities Program, with $120,000 approved for local government and non-profit community groups for small capital projects in the Moore electorate.

This also includes upgrades at the Greenwood Scout and Guide Hall ($18,639) and Emerald Park Community Centre ($19,709), signage upgrades at The Salvation Army Heathridge ($5065), a kitchen refurbishment at Sorrento Bowling Club ($12,000), and renovation of the True North Church op shop ($18,182) and equipment upgrades for the Joondalup Districts Cricket Club ($6405)._

“These are worthy organisations that give a great deal back to our community and it is only right that we offer them all the support we have available,” Moore MHR Ian Goodenough said.
