Since starting this term, Mrs Morey said she had received overwhelming support from Catholic Education WA, previous colleagues and principals.

“My history with Mater Dei College is one that I am very proud of, commencing as a young teacher in the foundation years through to deputy principal,” she said.

“Although the college has changed somewhat, the spirit of community and goodwill is something that is still very strong. It feels like I have come home.”

Her ambitions are to enhance community engagement, drive academic endeavour and provide strong pastoral care.

Mrs Morey said she looked forward to developing and nurturing relationships at the school.
