Free mental health workshops for youth in Joondalup and Stirling

Staff WriterJoondalup Times

CHILDREN, teens and young adults in the northern suburbs can access free emotional and mental wellbeing workshops.

Direction Psychology has received government funding from the WA Primary Health Alliance to run a series of group therapy programs in Joondalup and Stirling for people aged nine to 25.

“With the concerning rise of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicide in young people, our aim is to provide mental health programs to those who may not usually be able to afford to access them,” group co-ordinator Jess McCallum said.
