UPGRADES to the jetties at Ocean Reef Boat Harbour have finished. All six ramps at the facility were re-opened last month.

The $800,000 project, jointly funded by the City of Joondalup and Department of Transport, included replacing the original timber jetties with a floating pontoon jetty and gangway system that can be removed and relocated, re-building the northern groyne and upgrades to access infrastructure, the small vessel launch area and southern beach.

The work aimed to increase the amenity and safety of the facility. The City has also received a $30,000 Department of Transport grant to build a fish cleaning station at the harbour. The design is expected to go out for public consultation by the end of the year.
