Fundraising effort to help fire victims

Timberside Villas in Woodvale collected donations from residents at their happy hour events, Australia Day barbecue and at the front office, raising $2077.

In Kingsley, more than 40 Meath Care residents attended a fundraising dinner.

There were more than 70 raffle prizes on the night and residents who could not attend still made donations.

“Margaret Jenkinson, a resident of Yarloop until she was 18 years old, spoke about the wonderful life she and her family had had on the farm at Yarloop and her friends at the school,” Kingsley MLA Andrea Mitchell said.
