Girrawheen: police uncover hoard of bikes allegedly stolen from Greenwood and Warwick train stations

POLICE have uncovered an alleged stolen bike racket after an investigation into thefts from lockers at Greenwood and Warwick train stations.

Investigators this month searched a Girrawheen home where they seized 18 allegedly stolen bicycles.

They recovered another three bikes from pawn brokers.

Police have described the find as an “Aladdin’s cave” and allege there was also a hydroponic cannabis setup at the property.

Officers charged a Girrawheen man with 29 offences including theft, unlawful possession, fraud, cannabis possession and cannabis cultivation.
