POLICE are continuing to investigate those responsible for setting fire to a home during an unauthorised house party at a vacant property in Greenwood on Saturday.
It is believed the youths were aware the rental property was empty and raided the house to hold the party.
Police Media spokesman Adam Brouwer said officers arrived about 9.45pm to discover the Crossandra Way address ablaze and a mass of party goers milling in the street.
“A number of people were seen fleeing the premises,” he said.
“DFES units attended and extinguished the fire but were unable to save the house.”
The fire caused an estimated $160,000 damage.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
