Greenwood’s Courtney Murphy joins Carols by Candelight line-up

GREENWOOD resident Courtney Murphy has joined the line-up for this year’s Carols by Candlelight for Variety.

This will be the first time the Australian Idol finalist has taken part in the event, held at Langley Park this Sunday.

It will also be the first time in 72 years the event will be free to the public.

Starting at 1pm, it will include show rides, face painting, food stalls and pre-carols onstage entertainment featuring Wasamba – Freo’s Carnival Drummers and the Mighty Marvel Essence of Christmas Show followed by autographs and photos with Spiderman, Ironman and Mrs Clause.

When the sun goes down, headliner Anthony Callea will take the stage alongside Chris and Courtney Murphy, Robbie Anderson from The Voice Kids and the Variety Youth Choir.

The evening will finish with fireworks over the Swan River.
