The Perth Festival outdoor movie schedule includes Pick of the Litter, screening at UWA’s Somerville and ECU’s Joondalup Pines theatres over the festive season.

The documentary directed by Don Hardy Jr and Dana Nachman follows five labrador puppies – Phil, Patriot, Potomac, Primrose and Poppet – being trained to become guide dogs.

Pick of the Litter will screen at Somerville on December 24 and 26 to 30, and at Joondalup Pines from January 1 to 6.

Staff and volunteers from Guide Dogs WA will be available before and after screenings on December 27, 28 and 29, then January 5 and 6, to discuss the services they provide and ways the community can get involved with the organisation.
