ENVIRONMENTAL group Friends of Periwinkle Bushland is disappointed that work at the Mullaloo reserve has been undone by vandalism.

Group member Dorothy Lullfitz said Mullaloo Heights Primary School students had revegetated the area and the City of Joondalup natural areas team fenced it to protect the young plants.

“The fence has been damaged and healthy seedlings pulled out and died,” Dorothy said. “This appears to have been done by juveniles looking for excitement on their bikes.

“The new bike tracks made through the bushland have damaged existing healthy vegetation.”
