A BOAT owner had to tie a sinking vessel to rocks in Hillarys Boat Harbour overnight after it began taking on water.
Authorities received a distress call about 8pm.
ABC News reported the skipper managed to steer the stricken boat inside the harbour and close enough to an anchor point.
