Hillarys fight: one man charged, another in hospital

A TAPPING resident remains in hospital more than a week after a man allegedly assaulted him outside North Shore Tavern in Hillarys.

Officers yesterday charged the alleged offender (33) with grievous bodily harm over the July 22 incident.

A police spokesman said investigators arrived at the Whitfords Avenue scene about 12.15am.

“When they arrived they found a man who had been severely injured during a physical altercation,” he said.

“The victim, a 28 year old man from Tapping is currently at RPH with severe head injuries.”

The man is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on August 9.

Police wish to speak with anyone who may have seen the incident.
