Neighbours have told several news outlets that the other man came over in a bid to calm the situation down but the pair became embroiled in a fight.

Locals said the deceased man then collapsed in the driveway, possibly from a heart attack.

Four children who live at the house reportedly became distressed and screamed as the incident unfolded, and their mother tried to resuscitate the stricken man.

Police are yet to confirm those details but said the men were known to each other, were both aged in their 30s and the survivor was assisting with inquiries.

The homicide squad is investigating.
