Humanitarian event aids people in financial stress

Staff WriterJoondalup Times

CHURCH and charity groups will hold an event in Padbury this Friday to help people struggling financially.

The Humanitarian Aid Event on February 28 is part of a drive by congregation members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Church to help people struggling financially, facing mortgage or rental stress, or those who are homeless.

“There are 500 humanitarian aid care packs consisting of personal hygiene items for men and women and some non-perishable food items to be distributed to those who may need them,” organiser Rowel De Paz said.

The event is supported by members of the Joondalup Wanneroo Ending Homelessness Group, No Limits Perth and Kommuniti, with the City of Joondalup providing the hall at Forrest Park.
