MORE than 6000 people stretched their minds at the City of Joondalup’s 2019 Little Feet Festival at ECU Joondalup on Sunday.

Themed Imagination Wonderland, children aged 12 and under were encouraged to bring their big ideas, explore their dreams and seek inspiration through creativity and play.

New programming elements included Little Land where children could role play in a supermarket, construction site, doctor’s surgery or hairdressing salon, and the dream catcher station where, after designing and creating their own dream catchers, youngsters could pose with their creations in front of a series of green screen scenes.

Craft activity stations also proved popular with paper cup puppets, pipe cleaner finger friends, sand art and magic wands, as did the silent disco and instrument play area.

In partnership with the Look for a Book Facebook page, there were also hundreds of paper bags hidden throughout the festival site containing free books.

This year’s free festival was also extended for an extra hour.
