JOONDALUP’S Rowdy Yates is all fired up to play Mr March.

He is among 13 of Perth’s hottest firefighters who are turning up the heat to help WA children as part of the 2018 Perth Firefighters Calendar.

Mr Yates said it was an honour to support Princess Margaret Hospital’s burns unit through the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“We see first-hand the devastation that a fire can cause to WA families and children so being able to assist the burns unit directly is incredibly satisfying for me and all of the crew involved in this year’s calendar,” he said.

“I have my first child due to be born in March next year, so it means a lot to me to help raise money for this great cause.”

Mullaloo’s Shane Wood is also stepping up as Mr October.

“We regularly work in dangerous environments to help people, so to be able to do something fun to help children who need it most was an easy decision,” he said.

“It’s a fantastic cause and I’m really happy to see the brigade and many of my close mates giving their support for this very meaningful fun fundraiser.”

Calendars are available for $15 at shop.pchf.org.au.
