Joondalup: Care and Share Cafe helping people deal with loss and grief

A GROUP for people dealing with loss, grief and bereavement has started in Joondalup.

The Care and Share Cafe held its first meeting at Lake Joondalup Baptist Church last month.

Grief counsellor Suzanne Reeve said there were many issues that dealt with grief.

“It can be anything from divorce, death, refugees, redundancy, even the loss of a pet,” she said.

“Lyn Atkinson wanted to start the group because she has a heart for those feeling loss and as a grief counsellor, I said I’d help.

“The group is for anyone struggling.

“It’s a warm, intimate listening place, a place with a cuppa for people who are feeling overwhelmed.”

The Care and Share Cafe will be in the church hall at 12.30pm on the third Friday of every month.
