A FATHER will remain in custody for at least two weeks, after his latest court appearance into accusations he stalked a 12-year-old girl, and took photos of her in Butler.

Shane Warren Marshall appeared in Joondalup Magistrates Court today (March 23) via video link from Hakea Prison, charged with aggravated stalking.

The Yangebup resident allegedly drove slowly behind a young girl on Lukin Drive between 3pm and 4.30pm, and took photos of her on February 28.

Investigators allege there were photos of the girl on his phone when they seized it.

The police prosecutor strongly opposed bail at today’s hearing.

“If released he would clearly be a danger to the community,” he said.

The prosecutor alleged Warren was specifically targeting this one victim so there were fears for her safety.

Magistrate Deen Potter requested a home detention report before making a decision on bail.

Mr Marshall, who has a wife and child, was remanded in custody and is due to reappear on April 6.
