Joondalup: Detectives investigating separate attacks on three men by gangs

THREE men were assaulted and robbed in a spate of attacks across Joondalup last night (March 8).

The first incident occurred at about 7pm, when a man in his 30s was walking home through Central Park (just off Grand Boulevard).

The man was approached by a group of people who demanded he hand over alcohol he had purchased at a nearby shopping centre.

When the victim refused, he was punched to the head causing him to fall to the ground, then further assaulted before having his alcohol stolen.

The victim was taken by St John Ambulance to Joondalup Health Campus for treatment.

The second occurred at about 8pm when a man in his 30s was walking through Central Park and was approached by a group of people.

A man in the group demanded the victim’s wallet, and when he refused to give it over, was punched causing him to fall to the ground.

The group continued to assault the victim and stole his wallet.

About 8:30pm a boy in his teens was catching a bus from Joondalup Train Station.

As he boarded the bus he was pulled backwards, thrown to the ground and assaulted by a group of people.

He attended Joondalup Health Campus for treatment.
