The event aims to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Employee Courtney Reader said they chose breast cancer research because many women in her family had been affected.

Tickets are $50, which includes tea or coffee, a platter of cakes and sweets for the table and a heart-shaped jewellery box for people to paint.

“We chose this item because we think it symbolises love and life,” Ms Reader said.

“From experiencing both my nanna and aunty going through breast cancer, it showed me how important life was and how something so terrible brings all your loved ones together.”

Tickets are available from the cafe or by calling 9300 1811. Tables are for four or more people.
