JOONDALUP Health Campus honoured volunteers with a morning tea to celebrate National Volunteers Week.

Deputy chief executive Amanda Ling thanked the hospital’s 55 volunteers for collectively contributing more than 14,500 hours of service every year.

Their roles include general administrative tasks, helping ward staff, sitting with patients to keep them company and responding to general requests.

Volunteers also actively fundraise for the hospital allowing the purchase of ‘wish list’ items through sales from the lolly trolleys.

National Volunteer Week was celebrated from May 21 to 27.
