Next month, Perth will host a youth poetry slam for high school students.

The Joondalup Library will host one of seven heats, with the highest scoring poets going through to the final in Perth’s CBD during National Youth Week in April.

High school students in years 7 to 12 can attend a slam workshop before taking part in the heat on March 7.

They will be held from 4pm to 5pm at the Whitford Library on March 1 and the Joondalup Library on March 2.

To book, go to www.joondalup.wa.gov.au or call 9400 4759.
