Joondalup MLA throws shade at Beaumaris PS with $40,000 grant

BEAUMARIS Primary School has received a $40,000 grant for a playground shade structure.

Joondalup MLA Emily Hamilton presented the cheque to the school’s P&C as part of the Local Projects, Local Jobs initiative, which gives grants to community and sporting groups for grassroots projects that directly benefit the local community.

During her election campaign Ms Hamilton spoke with representatives from the P&C and was made aware of the need for a shade structure over the Year 4 to 6 playground area and equipment.

“As a local mum, I know how important it is for kids to play outside and this new shade structure will keep students sun smart during the summer months,” she said.
