FOUR events students from North Metropolitan Tafe’s Joondalup campus will host a fundraiser to support Red Nose.

They will be staging a 1980s themed cocktail event to raise money for the charity previously called SIDS and Kids.

Caitlyn Sanders, Sophie Upex, Josh Chapman and Jaimee Thomson formed Ignite Events in order to complete their course and raise funds for Red Nose.

Miss Thomson’s family lost a three-week-old baby to SIDS in 1990, which inspired her to support the charity.

Her fellow group members agreed to help Red Nose in its efforts to prevent children dying suddenly and unexpectedly during pregnancy, infancy or pre-school years.

The group started planning the event in February and have sold more than 300 tickets, setting a record for the most sold at events organised by Joondalup Tafe students in the past 11 years.
