MICHELLE Haughton met most of her neighbours for the first time when she hosted a garage sale in 2013.

Two years later, she is doing it again.

The Duncraig resident, who runs gift-giving business Present Surprise from home, admitted another clean-out was well overdue.

Like thousands of Australians, she will host a garage sale on October 24 as part of the Garage Sale Trail campaign.

Ms Haughton said she would be selling items to suit all tastes and budgets, such as a Santa Pants gift bag for $5 or a baby boy two-tier nappy cake for $60.

“I am a bit of a hoarder and it will be a good chance to offload some glassware, vases, books and the like,” she said.

“There will be some gift boxes available from the business at a discounted rate and maybe some hampers, depending on how hot it is on the day.

“I’ve already told the neighbours about the sale and encouraged them to pay me a visit.”

Ms Haughton will also use her garage sale, which runs from 9am to 3pm at 463 Beach Road in Duncraig, to raise money for Cancer Council WA.
