Kangaroo found ‘decapitated’ in Perth regional park

A KANGAROO has been found decapitated at Yellagonga Regional Reserve, north of Perth.

RSPCA WA is investigating the incident, which is thought to have happened yesterday, before 5:30pm.

Householders with CCTV on Duffy Terrace in Woodvale are being urged to check their footage and report anything suspicious.

“RSPCA WA is investigating a report of a kangaroo found decapitated in Yellagonga Regional Reserve, at the northern end of Duffy Terrace in Woodvale,” the animal charity said in a statement shared on social media.

“It is deeply disturbing to come across acts of cruelty like this. And even more so when it relates to our precious wildlife.

“RSPCA WA reminds people that animal cruelty is a serious criminal offence, punishable by a fine of up to $50,000 or 5 years in jail.”
