Kangaroo torturer supporter charged with assault outside Joondalup court

Police have charged a man over the attack on the media outside Joondalup Magistrates Court yesterday.

The 29-year-old man from Banksia Grove was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault after he was in court to support kangaroo torturer Dylan Griffin, who was jailed for 11 months.

It will be alleged the man assaulted a journalist outside the court about 10.20am after Magistrate Gregory Benn handed down his sentence.

The man is due to appear at the same court on February 6.

The investigation is continuing.
