IT may sound like someone’s heaven – having chocolate falling from the sky – but that’s what happened at HBF Arena in Joondalup on Sunday.

The Helicopter Easter Egg Drop, which was organised by Globalheart Church and sold out in less than two hours, saw more than 1000 children and parents gather to watch 16,000 Cadbury Easter eggs descend from a helicopter before racing out to fill their bags.

The eggs were donated by people from the local community and more than 150 volunteers helped run the event on the day.

Pastor Gerard Keehan said it was a new event for Globalheart Church.
