NORTHERN suburbs anti-bullying organisation Kidzucate will hold its second masquerade cocktail party fundraiser this month.

Sian Williams (10) and her mother Azelene, of Burns Beach, founded the organisation in 2014 to educate children on harm prevention.

“Sian felt inspired to start Kidzucate when she suffered bullying at school because of her stutter,” Mrs Williams said.

“Sian refused to become another statistic of bullying and found a fun, kid-friendly solution to her problem.

“Kidzucate kicked off with Sian using YouTube to present her educational videos, teaching kids how to be better kids.

“Sian’s vision was to not just talk about bullying but to mentor children her age as she believed that kids learn better through kids.”

They also run programs such as ‘Take-a-stand’ and ‘Teen safety’ for young people.

The fundraiser will be at Joondalup Resort on October 20 with Bali bombing survivor Phil Britten the guest speaker.

Suzanne Waldron will be the MC at the event and Tony Ward has volunteered as DJ for the night.
