SUNDAY service in Kingsley will feature a pop-up op shop this week.
St Anselm’s Anglican Church and Anglicare WA have teamed up to raise awareness and support of the charity’s Young Hearts program.
Young Hearts is a domestic violence service for children that is dedicated to breaking the cycle of family violence.
The service, which is in high demand with a waitlist recently at 41 days, works closely with women, children and their non-offending family members in a supportive environment to enable the children to explore their feelings around violence and abuse.
The event, which aims to raise money to help continue the service, will start at 9am with a church service that will focus on Young Hearts, followed by a pop-up op shop, Devonshire tea and sausage sizzle from 10am to 2pm.
It is open to the community with donation boxes on-site for people to contribute goods to the Anglicare WA op shops.
