Kingsley MLA Jessica Stojkovski said the science lab would add to the school’s strong focus on science, which includes a partnership with Scitech and work with organisation Young Engineers Australia.

“Having a speciality science lab in the school will enable teachers to plan more contemporary, hands-on activities for students, who will learn in a facility with the resources and equipment they need,” she said.

The school will also receive $25,000 to buy laboratory equipment and resources such as 3D models of the solar system and human anatomy, digital microscopes, 3D printers, virtual reality headsets, robotics kits and renewable energy kits.

The schools were selected based on their plans to grow and improve science education.
