COOKING classes at Kinross College have had an upgrade.

The school’s new food technology studio, with a modern kitchen, benches, sinks and ovens, was officially opened recently.

Also revealed was the new home economics room, with the latest appliances and industry-standard coffee machine where barista courses are being taught.

The buildings were part of a $5.07 million upgrade, which also included new classrooms, a student services area for pastoral care, a staffroom and an updated materials technology room.

The work took six months to complete.
