THE Lake Joondalup 3+ Program will hold a community event on Saturday to showcase its sensory room and nature garden.

Co-director Debra Gibson said the non-profit childcare service introduced the sensory room to give children with additional needs a calm space to escape to.

“The room has proven to be incredibly successful as a tool for separation anxiety and also provides a great environment for all children to explore their fine motor development,” she said.
