LAKE Joondalup Baptist College has started a new initiative similar to an alumni organisation.

The Parents and Collegians Auxiliary (PCA) launched last week with a community breakfast at the school’s sport centre conference room.

Guests included Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob, foundation board member Alf Binks, current board members, new principal Daryl Pollard, the college management team, current and past students and parents.

The breakfast was held to share the vision of PCA, which includes fostering an inter-generational network within the broader school community.

The PCA’s vision also includes creating longer term benefits to support current and past students and parents through mentoring, volunteering and work experience opportunities, career information and connecting businesses.
